*It's absolutely ridiculous that some States were late in sending out their absentee ballots, especially those to our troops. There is no excuse for disenfranchising parts of our citizenship and military. If the problem is the primaries, they should all be held before the ballot mailing-out date, allowing for printing. And there's no excuse for allowing two weeks after election day to count the returned ballots. These things can be properly counted in a much shorter span of time. The extra time probably allows a very small percentage of late mailed ballots to arrive. These can still be counted. But the majority received within a week should be counted within a few days of election day. All the extra time allows the Democrat machine to challenge and eliminate votes [or find them in car trunks]---the latter which will likely be heavy in Democrat votes. I suggest States and municipalities put on extra supervised help to count them 24hrs each day. If they need money, they should reduce other budgets by 1%, or reduce executive salaries by 10%. That would be especially fruitful for those municipalities with executives earning a ridiculous $500 K to a $million. It would also seem fair to assess all candidates a %age sum from their campaign contributions to pay for the vote counting.
*It's time to support the many sheriffs around the Country [and ultimately ourselves] in their efforts to stem the illegal immigration flood. One idea is to sue ACLU for aiding, abetting, and otherwise supporting illegal aliens breaking our laws. Others: have the border States declare emergencies and seal off their southern borders with State Guard troops; pressure the Federal Government to act to find and deport illegal immigrants; it's not racism to stop and search those races having the majority of illegal immigrants. [Does one search Tall or Short men when the perp is identified as being 5' 4"?] Federal Democrats and the Obama administration have made it clear they won't control the inflow. [Thus abrogating their Constitutional directives.] Why? Simple. They want votes from the illegals and their ethnic brothers. And that's why they're pushing the Dream Act. Get wise Americans before we go bankrupt funding these people with medical care and welfare.
*Despite the questionable Constitutionality, I think it's time to revisit the Alien Friends' Act: "The Alien Friends Act (officially An Act Concerning Aliens; ch. 58, 1 Stat. 570---passed during an undeclared Naval war with France: the Quasi War) authorized the president to deport any resident alien considered "dangerous to the peace and safety of the United States." It was activated June 25, 1798, with a two year expiration date." We're at war with the terrorists now, and we're fighting for our survival. We need this protection. We can't just sit around while the terrorists vegetate and then suddenly blow something up killing people with abandon. This is especially horrendous since, for in many cases, we know who these guys are. We're reaching a position of choice: protect the rights of the terrorists to terrorize us or protect ourselves by getting rid of them. Having a fine Constitution doesn't mean much when you're dead.
*According to the pc politician, Michael Posner[Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Michael Posner]: "...we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination..." I guess that means that Hispanics [legal and illegal] and Blacks will be favored everywhere just because of their race, and the 'possibility' of discrimination somewhere or sometime. Never mind that the Blacks and Hispanics are interested in their own progress, and not in what the government can legislate for them. Never mind the existent majority of Americans from Ireland, Italy, Great Britain, France, Germany, Thailand, China, Japan etc.---or even the Indian [American and Asian] populations who aren't so favored by these ill-conceived laws. The majority of Americans are the ones being discriminated against these days. Never mind need, decide things based on race so you can't be called a racist. And be sure to bow down to Muslims in America [who train terrorists, condemn America, and threaten free speech and our actual existence] to show how tolerant you are of the intolerant, misogynistic 'religion of peace'---the latter being an oxymoron. Like the old joke, it's a matter of 'piece', as in 'a piece of this and a piece of that' until even the left is locked out. How do like them apples, Mr Posner? Should we call you an American apologist first and an American citizen second?
*When you have thousands of Muslims dancing in the streets in numerous Mid-Eastern cities when the twin towers were destroyed and nearly 3,000 Americans were killed, I don't believe you can claim that 'Muslim extremists' are the problem. The problem is in the Muslim Koran, religious commentaries and traditions and exhortations about death to infidels and the old 'spreading the religion by the sword'---as was demonstrated when the Moors attacked and controlled for some time European countries who didn't want them there. It took Charles 'the Hammer' Martel to finally stop their march. [Among others at the time.] People talk about their buildings these days instead of the many thousands---if not millions---of people killed so that the Muslims could conquer the territories of the 'infidels.' And of course, they built celebration Mosques where they conquered the locals [sound familiar New York?] There's little if anything peaceful about the 'religion' [I still maintain that it's nothing more than a violent cult] and there's much to fear about the way the Muslims react to criticism or human rights. [What's a few bombings, beheadings, tortures, beatings, etc. among friends? Eh?]
*Taxpayers Beware
You've been hearing about the politicians squabbling over the 'Bush Tax Cuts' expiring on December 31. They aren't the only difficulties facing taxpayers. Consider these:
The so-called Bush Tax Cuts expiring; those cuts from 2001 and 2003:
Personal income tax rates will rise: 10% to 15%; 25% to 28%; 28% to 31%; 33% to 36%; and 35% to 39.6%. The latter rate is that which subjects 2/3rds of all small business profits. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will phase out according to income.
The narrower tax brackets for married couples [the marriage penalty] will return from the first dollar of income; the child tax credit will be cut from $1000 to $500; the standard deduction won't be doubled for married couples [from the single deduction]; dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.
There is currently no estate tax at death. For estates created after January 1, the top rate will again be 55% on estates over $1 million. The latter could be reached by taxpayers with two homes and an IRA.
Capital Gains tax rates will rise from 15% to 20%. The dividends tax goes from 15% to 39.6%.
See anything in there that involves only millionaires? I didn't think so. Don't believe all the rhetoric from the left.
As for ObamaCare, we want it repealed or defunded and defanged when the GOP comes in. But, until then you have even more taxes to look forward to next month.
ObamaCare prevents you from using your Health Savings Account [HSA], Flexible Spending Account [FSA] or Health Reimbursement Account [HRA] to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medications.
A new cap for FSAs will be $2500 as opposed to the current no limit. This will devastate parents of special needs children, who must pay for special schools and programs for their kids with only after-tax income.
An increase in tax penalty for early withdrawals from an HSA from 10% to 20%.
And the full Obamacare program isn't scheduled to start until 2014---AFTER OBAMA IS GONE!!!
Also scheduled for 2011:
A multi-$billion tax assessment on brand-name drug manufacturers. Like all other excise taxes, these will increase the cost of medications to you and me.
NB: "The IRS is now empowered to disallow perfectly-legal tax deductions and maneuvers merely because it judges that the deduction or action lacks “economic substance.” This is obviously an arbitrary empowerment of IRS agents," says Americans for Tax Reform
NB: Employers will be required to report the costs of provided Health Insurance on your 2011 W-2. While this isn't a tax, it'll make it very easy for the taxation of these health benefits very soon. The aren't asking requiring this information for nothing, you know.
And there's a lot more coming folks. Each month, our friends down in Washington are doing their best to bankrupt and subjugate us. We took one step to correct the horrors in 2010. Now we've got to finish the job in 2012. Tea and muffins for the masses! Just don't use incandescent lightbulbs.
*How interesting is the word 'Vote.'
The word comes from the late Middle Ages; it's from the Latin 'votum', a vow.
Its formal Ask definition is 'a formal expression of opinion or choice, either positive or negative, made by an individual or body of individuals' or 'the means by which such expression is made, as a ballot, ticket, etc. As a verb, Ask says 'to express or signify will or choice in a matter, as by casting a ballot: to vote for president. Or with an object, 'to enact, establish, or determine by vote: to vote a proposed bill into a law.
Mix the letters a bit, and you have 'Veto.' Veto comes from about 1629, from the Latin 'veto', literally 'I forbid. It was used by Roman tribunes who opposed measure of the Senate or magistrates. The verb is recorded from 1706, 1620-30...'
Ask goes on to say: 'to reject [a proposed bill or enactment] by exercising a Veto.' Or 'to prohibit emphatically.'
Using three of letters gives us 'Vet.' While the main use of that word is 'short for 'veterinarian', many of us use it as 'short for 'veteran.' [It's also used as a verb to describe a process of investigation of a person's background.]
And isn't 'Vet' an apt word derived from the noun 'vote?' For it was the active duty military who constantly protect us and keep us safe. They give us protection for our Constitution and way of life, and without them we could never have a 'free vote.' And we should never forget that. The Soldiers and Sailors and Marines and Airmen and Coast Guard are on duty 24/7, and we're appreciative of their efforts. Their existence is a necessary component of our Country's survival, and we should never force them to undertake unnecessary burdens---especially those thrust upon them to be 'politically correct.' We are wrong to be restricting their abilities to protect us by requiring ridiculous rules of engagement that practically give the enemy standing targets.
And if we take the word 'Veto' and exchange an 'i' for an 'e', we have my grandfather's name, Vito.
* For the New Year, these would be great gifts to the Nation, especially if retro-active to include those politicians in office now:
1. Islam would reform from a cult to a religion. It should split, leaving all the hate and violence to the extremists, purge the hate from the revamped Koran---it was made up of bits and pieces and aberrations of comments and Jewish and Christian items to temper all the hate, misogynism, and violence in the original. The religion-arising-from-the-cult should actively fight against terrorism, cut the hate rhetoric from it's Imams [fire them and jail them if possible---preferably Guantanamo or some other appropriate place. 'Gulag' comes to mind.] It's only through reforms like these than peace has a chance in the US and the World. It'll never happen, but it's still a good idea.
2. Plea bargains should not be permitted for ethics violations; a public trial should be held and shown on C-Span; conviction should lead to expulsion from the House or the Senate. Charlie and Maxine call your offices.
3. Financial information required from Representatives, Senators, the President, and other administration officials should be more exact and specific, allowing no wiggle room. Spousal ownership should not be permitted to create a loophole.
4. Send our armed forces in great numbers to root out the drug lords, sellers, and cartels operating in the US and terrifying and destroying our citizens. Catch them and send them where the Sun don't shine! Sic the IRS on them after the army builds barbed wire fences around them. Retain the illegality of drugs, but tax confiscatingly the profits of the drug lords. [Say a straight rate of 99%] We should also stop public funding of any leftist cause, especially PBS, NPR, and the NEA.
5. Identify and deport all illegal aliens immediately if not sooner. Sorry for the disruption of families, but we didn't invite you here, especially to destroy our welfare resources. And take your kids with you. Since they're mostly Mexican, the reasonable stopping of Hispanic lawbreakers cannot be considered racial profiling. This is a matter of National Security. Reducing the costs created by the illegals would go a long way towards spurring economic recovery. If some of these aliens want to take the legal way to enter this Country and become citizens, they would be welcomed with open arms just like all other immigrants who have made the effort.
6. Term limits are a must for all political offices. It's time to return to the citizen-politician. National elective political office should not be a career. Petitioning for a vote of confidence of the President should be permitted. If 60% of the vote taken agrees, the second vote of the electorate should decide on confidence or not. If the President loses, he and his administration must call a Presidential election within 90 days. The new administration should be sworn in within 60 days of the election. No Presidential pardons allowed during the lame duck period. We have a dangerous, un-American man in the White House these days who's dismantling our Country, and we need a way to remove him without getting stuck with Joe Biden. Remember, it's a matter of survival.
7. Appropriate applications should be completed for those aspiring to all political offices. [See my blog of 7/31/10]
8. Liberalism, especially the far left type, should be added to the Psychiatric book of disorders and treated appropriately.
Aahh! Now those are gifts to be proud of.

Revelations
Friends, a short time ago, I received an email from my brother [the well-known 'dhimmitude' email], and I passed it on to a few others. Recently, I received back a nasty comment of an email, and I wanted to answer it. Here is the email: "In case you hadn't figured it out by now, this is bull. http://www.factcheck.org/2010/05/dhimmitude-and-the-muslim-exemption/ Please don't send me things that are not carefully fact checked, no matter how much you think they support racism and religious intolerance."
To my Liberal friend:
First to the actual words on your email. What I sent you is not 'bull, I do know the facts, and I resent your insult about racism and religious intolerance. For the latter, you owe me an apology. Make sure you provide one.
In re your reference to FactCheck.org: I assume you know the difference between apples and oranges? Now, I've plowed through the ObamaCare law completely. Have you? Fact Check is talking about health insurance per the employer point of view. [The entity who's supposed to offer the insurance.] ---and I wouldn't take a terrorist leaning group's quotes too seriously. [CAIR] The whole Fact Check article talks about health insurance from only one point of view, which doesn't refute anything in the subject email since the latter is based on the personal point of view: i.e., the person who's supposed to buy the insurance. A simple but profound difference. Fact Check [a Liberal site] is so quick to attack an email that it backs it's own claim by talking about something else. And you didn't pick up on the difference?
The writer of the original email may have been upset, though I think it was written purposely to get others upset...a sort of wake-up call---something that's certainly needed. And PC Democrats/Liberals are in great need of it. As the old joke goes about the recalcitrant talking mule, 'you have to hit him over the head with a two x four to get his attention. And sometimes hyperbole can be very effective when warning people about the dangers confronting them.
Many Islamic scholars [such as Sheikh Muhammad Al-Munajjid] "...criticize the system of conventional insurance [health or otherwise] as exploitive and unjust..." The many illegal Muslims [read terrorists, because that's why they're here illegally] will demand free healthcare when they need it. Someone who's willing to blow himself up is certainly not going to shell out money to buy a detested insurance policy. His 72 virgins wouldn't approve. The part of the ObamaCare law pertaining to exemptions is very vague and open to interpretation, which is how laws are written so as to provide wiggle room and increase the income of lawyers in general. And this one will be exploited---probably by more than the Amish and the Muslims. But based on the Washington climate at the moment, the Muslims get pretty much whatever they want, and that includes this exemption.
In a recent poll it was said that 45% of the Muslim responders would seek an exemption: "I would seek an exemption on religious grounds. I believe conventional insurance is haraam [an Arabic term meaning forbidden.]
The term 'dhimmitude' was first used in 1982 by Lebanese President Bachia Gemayel. It was based on the Arabic word 'dhimmi', a protected [read subjugated,] non-Muslim resident in a Sharia law state. 'Dhimmitude' was meant to mean concession, surrender, and appeasement toward Islamic demands. And that's exactly what's happening in our country today.
French writer Bat Ye'or [in an Italian magazine] used the term to 'represent a behavior dictated by fear [terrorism], pacifism when aggressed.' 'By their peaceful surrender to the Islamic Army [terrorists and maniacs---you know the kind], they obtained the security for their life, belongings and religion, but they had to accept a condition of inferiority, spoliation, and humiliation.' When the entire Muslim world is shouting death to the West, beheading and bombing people, and using petro-dollars to fund all sorts of terrorism throughout the World---including against their fellow Muslims; when they dance in the streets at the news of the fall of the World Trade Center buildings---these are the attempts to subjugate the West and force it to accept Muslim presence and culture, in effect to force 'dhimmitude.' [And the conquest Muslim center near ground zero is another slap in the face.]
The purpose of the original email---though I would have prepared it differently---is to shock people to wake up and see what is happening in this Country, especially in this administration. When the President kowtows to foreign potentates; sends state laws to the UN for review; bankrupts the economy; follows junk science; takes over private businesses; appoints socialists, crooks and tax cheats to Federal offices; attempts to force socialism on the country; and even refuses to release his birth and education records, what are the people supposed to think and do?
Nowhere in the original email is there a mention of race or racism. You have simply followed the Liberal mantra of injecting 'racism' into anything you want, probably just to muddy the waters. I thought you were smarter than that. And, if you'd ever read my blogs, you'd see that I never present racist writing or thoughts nor do I condone them. If I ever mention the subject, I'm specific about it. We are talking here about Muslims, and they can be of any race. So don't read your own motives into someone else's writing so you can throw out the term 'racism' and feel good about yourself.
As to religion, you won't find religious intolerance in the original email or in anything I've ever said or wrote. I consider Islam a violent cult, not a religion. It's akin to the Thuggee cult of in 19th Century India. There're also the violent 'Kali' or 'Kali Ma' cults---men hating ones. And Islam proves itself as a violent cult every day with its innate barbarism [female circumcision, beheadings, 'honor' killings etc.] and misogyny. It's a cult that seems stuck in the seventh Century. So don't feed yourself with the pap that: people genuinely afraid of the growing Muslim presence and influence create an act of religious intolerance. They don't. [Who we need is a modern-day Charles 'the Hammer' Martel.] Despite what Obama says, this is a predominantly Christian Country. And most people want it to remain so.
One sentence in the original email I have a beef with is: 'The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States.' I can acknowledge that this statement isn't true---at least on the face of it. But one must take into consideration the whole ObamaCare law. The entire law leaves enough loopholes to make Socialism and dhimmitude perfectly reasonable inferences from the details. And people all around the Country are genuinely in fear. [To paraphrase from the Terminator: 'it will not stop, and it'll keep on coming until it conquers you.'] Between that fear and the economic, social, political disaster based in the Congress and the White House, you can see where all the anger is coming from.
I also take exception to the idea that 'Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be 'gambling', 'risk-taking', and 'usury' and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this.' -- There is no specificity in the law. These complaints are a little over the top, but they indicate what the fearful public is experiencing with the Democrats [Nancy Pelosi] saying 'we have to pass the bill so we can know what's in it', the President kowtowing to anything foreign, and the easy acceptance of everything Muslim in the White House. Most people, including Representatives and Senators still haven't read and don't know what's in the law. Just try to quiz one.
So, ,,, , if you want discourse, then by all means start one with me. Either email me your comments or add them to the blogs. And be specific with real examples of your concern. Don't just call things you don't agree with 'bull' or throw in 'racism' because as a Liberal you think you think you have to.
I'm sending a modified copy of this to all the people I forwarded the original email to---just in case there are some Liberals out there who might think like you and need their minds opened.
Keep an open mind when reading the articles linked below . You might learn something. Both Dr Walter Williams and Dr Thomas Sowell are respected economists, teachers, and authors. And I suggest you do your own thinking and research on subjects for discussion, and stop relying on Liberal tripe. Your mind will feel cleaner.

These complaints are a little over the top, but they indicate what the fearful public is experiencing with the Democrats [Nancy Pelosi] saying 'we have to pass the bill so we can know what's in it', the President kowtowing to anything foreign, and the easy acceptance of everything Muslim in the White House. Most people, including Representatives and Senators still haven't read and don't know what's in the law. Just try to quiz one.
So, ,,, , if you want discourse, then by all means start one with me. Either email me your comments or add them to the blogs. And be specific with real examples of your concern. Don't just call things you don't agree with 'bull' or throw in 'racism' because as a Liberal you think you think you have to.
I'm sending a modified copy of this to all the people I forwarded the original email to---just in case there are some Liberals out there who might think like you and need their minds opened.
Keep an open mind when reading the articles linked below . You might learn something. Both Dr Walter Williams and Dr Thomas Sowell are respected economists, teachers, and authors. Where's the Beef? - When You Need It?
*Some people want to know why I criticize the Democrats/Liberals and Obama all the time. Hey! It's not like it's a mission in life. I'd rather sit around and read Westerns. Sadly, though, we have a media that sits in the corner with the Democrats/Liberals and Obama and won't report the truth. Not enough Conservative writers are available to the general public, so I add what I can. And it's not so much criticizing as it is airing the truth about what is happening and what our representatives are up to. These guys are transparent all right. You can see straight through their lies, phony boasts, anti-Americanism, and utter incompetency. I'm not a loud voice, but I try always to write the truth about what's happening. As did Clara Peller, I just want to ask: 'Where's the beef?'
*When the Democrats concoct a bill and name it a 'reform' bill, you can be sure it isn't. The proof is not in the packaging or labeling, it's in the action. Nothing the Dems consider will ever be done if it hurts their own pockets [or those of the special interests they usually rail against or share a bed with---Unions, Muslims, the Liberal media, Government Motors] or goes contrary to picking the pockets of the American citizens. Once they tax and charge and fee and penalize the populace equal to its entire income, then what? It seems that's the only way to stop the Liberals, though they'd still borrow to fund even more 'reform'---and blame it on the Republicans, is to get rid of them. Any people out there who vote Democrat deserve the mess, but the rest of us don't. Let's go November!
*According to Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor [as seen through the eyes of leftist?] Michael Posner: "...we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination..." I guess that means that Hispanics [legal and illegal] and blacks will be favored everywhere just because of their race, and the 'possibility' of discrimination somewhere or sometime. Never mind the majority of Americans from Ireland, Italy, Great Britain, France, Germany, Thailand, China, Japan etc.---or even the Indian {American and Asian] populations. The majority of Americans are the ones being discriminated against these days. Never mind need, decide things based on race so you can't be called a racist. And be sure to kowtow to Muslims in America [who train terrorists, condemn America, and threaten free speech] to show how tolerant you are of the intolerant, misogynistic 'religion of peace'---the latter being a misnomer if there ever was one. Like the old joke, it's a matter of 'piece', as in 'a piece of this and a piece of that' until even the left is locked out. How do like them apples, Mr Posner? What kind of desk does the President sit behind in the Oval Office? It's the Resolute Desk, a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B Hayes in 1880---that's 130 years ago folks! Most Presidents have used it---whether in the Oval Office or their private studies---with the exception of Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford. I don't know what they used, but I'm sure it wasn't orange crates.
HMS Resolution was a British ship of the Edward Belcher expedition looking for the Northwest passage. It became stuck and was abandoned in the ice---later found near Baffin Bay by the American whaler George Henry---James Buddington commanding. The US bought her, refitted her, and presented her to Queen Victoria on December 17, 1856 as a symbol of peace.
Years later, when it was broken up, the British Government had at least two desks made from the timbers of the Resolute by the cabinet makers at the Joiner's Shop of Chatham Dockyard. In 1880, they sent one---a partner's desk---to President Rutherford B Hayes as a thank you for rescuing and refitting HMS Resolute and returning it to Great Britain in 1856.
In any case, the Desk is an honored and valuable antique, a National treasure, and some say 'an icon of the Presidency.' For the most part, Presidents have treated it and the oval office with the respect due them. Until President Clinton and the latest fraud that is. Clinton used the Oval Office for his sexual trysts. Obama uses it as a lounge. [He routinely sits back in his chair with shod feet up on top of the desk.]
Can you think of any good reason why a servant of the people should treat American property and tradition as he does? Not only that, but he trashes the spirit, the sense of honor, the American economy, the American people, and the Constitution with impunity. He tries to socialize, Islam-a-size, and Communist-a-size the Country while defanging its defense and kowtowing to foreign potentates. You guys who voted for him should be hung up by your nose hairs. This President is a disgrace and insult to the American people.
*Felicity Cloake [UK Daily Mail, August 11, 2010] says: "The UN is considering strategies to cut levels of meat consumption worldwide [and replace the protein with---grubs and bugs?---] as part of its commitment to stamp out famine and cut global warming." Sure, shut down the production tasty and acceptable meat, which is a basic protein, and replace the loss with bugs? Does anyone have any idea how many jobs would be lost? It's not like people can be retrained to run 'bug farms.' Has anyone tested for bug flatulence lately? And who will take care of the cattle and horses thus unemployed? This is simply another inane idea from the leftist UN which still believes in man-made global warming. Does anyone think the UN officials are going to serve bugs at their state dinners? They should set an example you know.
*According to Newsmax.com on August 16: "A Hamas leader says Muslims 'have to build' a mosque near ground zero." At last. Somebody agrees with Obama. He should be proud.

Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said that Jesus’s Golden Rule inspired him to vote to confirm Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court" - This is another example of my losing respect and confidence in Lindsay Graham. He is proving to be a dangerous RINO, and he needs to go. Besides, the 'golden rule' is not even appropriate for the situation. If he needs a bible quote, how about this one: "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3 v 16-17" Kagan believes in abortion as a good thing guaranteed by the Constitution [it isn't---and it isn't a right in the moral sense either.] She should never have been voted in. What the Country needs is another sane voice in the Supreme Court, not another John Paul Stevens. Since Graham doesn't understand this, then he should be given the heave-ho!
*USA Today reports: "...Designed to thwart the reproduction, raising and sale of sick, deformed or otherwise less-than-healthy pets...lemon laws are more and more being used...[in re pets; to help recoup losses]...Because there's almost nothing worse than investing your emotions in a "perfect" puppy or kitten only to learn that it suffers from a debilitating, life-altering — or even deadly — disease." [Sound familiar?] So you get your money back. But what happens to the lemon-lawed pets? Are they destroyed? Of course. This is the whole idea. Perfect or else. Animal euthanasia is easy entry into the same for people. Just ask our seniors who are having Medicare cuts and less than reasonable treatment under the new health plan. Will lemon laws now migrate into the abortion debate? Will we be suing doctors for delivering less-than-perfect children? Will we then put them asleep---all as an extension of the spurious 'right' of abortion? You people who support killing babies are going to rue your words, votes, and positions more and more.

Per Fox News on August 13: "Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems." Per the Personal Liberty Digest of August 18: "During a 90-minute press conference, Representative Maxine Waters vehemently denied breaking House conflict-of-interest regulations by allegedly helping garner Federal support for a troubled bank that had close ties to her husband."
Per the Des Moines Register July 26 in re the Obama Stimulus money: "Goldman Sachs sent $4.3 billion in federal tax money to 32 entities, including many overseas banks, hedge funds and pensions, according to information made public..." Per the Wall Street Journal August 2: "...Obama is attempting to blame the [Bush and the] GOP for the U.S. economy’s current woes..." Per The Hill on May 25: "Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) on Tuesday said partial blame for the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico lies with the Bush administration." Per the Daily Caller on February 6: "...Faced with mounting national opposition to his party’s platform, the President reminded voters the real reason the trillion-dollar stimulus package still hasn’t reduced unemployment to 8 percent as promised: Bush did it, and it’ll take a lot of time to undo it."
President Bush and his administration have been gone for some 19 months. At what point do Obama and the Congress [collective or individually] start taking the heat for their own actions in making a bad situation worse, fanning the flames, adding more fuel to the flames. When the House collapses or burns down, perhaps taking the incompetent Obama with it, will we continue to hear forever the his vocal: "I didn't do it with my little burned match sticks! Bush did it! Bush did it!---echoed by the dead and buried Pelosi and Reid and Frank and Dodd ad infinitum.
*It's time to tell the World we can't support them anymore. All the socialist, communist, and otherwise poorly run countries are going to have to fend for themselves for two or three years. Anyone asking for help thereafter is going to have to prove the need and the fact that it isn't going to waste it on banana governments. We will still be willing to buy goods at fair prices to help those growing countries shed their banana images.

Up Front and Due to the Left
*I notice that when Liberals post their opinion columns on the news of the day, they tend to block reader commenting. Dr Michio Kaku opines in the WSJ on 7/27/10---copied on his site---where the comments are closed on 7/27/10 with no comments shown! He's wrong in his opinion of course, and it doesn't take a scientific or political genius to see where he's wrong, nor does it take a genius to know why he won't take criticism. All the time, I come across Liberals who simply won't defend their positions as Liberals or accept criticism of their writings. In fact, some NY Times columnists have drastically shortened the comments allowed at the end of their columns because they were being shown up by the facts being posted.
*According to the AP in June, UK doctors claim that a fetus can't feel pain before 24 weeks. They say 'that nerve connections in the brain are not sufficiently formed to allow pain perception before 24 weeks.' Is that so? I imagine they interviewed aborted babies to find this out? Their opinions are erring on the safe side of life? Are they sure of 24 weeks? What about 23 weeks and 6 days? What about 23 weeks, 6 days and 23 hours? All life feels pain, and don't forget it or make excuses for killing babies in the fetal form.
On a related note, I personally don't think the nerve or thinking connections in the brains of Liberals are sufficiently formed to assist the Liberal in speaking sense. But do we abort them? Of course not. They're almost as smart as babies, and it takes years for their mental aberrations to appear.
*And the apparently brain-dead U.S. Judge Vaughn R. Walker [appointed by Bill Clinton], "who ruled last week that a voter-approved amendment to California's constitution [Proposition 8] that limited marriage to the union of a man and a woman violated the U.S. Constitution" [CNS,Terence P. Jeffrey, August 9, 2010] now claims that his decision was "based that ruling in part on his finding that a child does not need and has no right to a mother...Nor, he found, does a child have a need or a right to a father." That's in the Constitution? He then goes on to quote from a special interest "American Psychological Association (APA)" brochure---but only from those parts in it that support his decision. This man is in a position of legal power! For the good of our Country, overturning his ruling, and his subsequent impeachment and conviction should be quick and painless.
*As noted by Martin Crutsinger of the AP, President Barack Obama appointed a national debt commission to report after the November midterm elections on ways that the federal deficits can be brought under control. Naturally, he won't ask for the report before. It would increase the carnage for the Democrats in midterm elections. Most likely, the report will identify---but downplay---one easy way to cut the deficit: CUT THE SPENDING! I can tell you that for free---I don't need no stinking commission! And also most likely, Obama and friends will ignore it completely or make cuts where they hurt average people most, leaving the fat and pork and paybacks to the Big Unions and other Liberal supporters alone---or actually increasing the latter. That will be accompanied with tax increases all over the place, especially on the rich [with a new definition of rich as earnings of $20,000 a year or more.]
*They're still debating about the so-called 'ground zero Mosque' and whether or not it should be built. The mindless bureaucrats in NYC apparently okayed it [and continue to support it] without appropriate public input. [It seems Liberals in the Clinton era tried to follow polls; Liberals these days do the opposite.] This is a National discussion, folks. Not just for New York City. I'm all for religious tolerance, but this has nothing to do with it. It was Muslims who killed 3,000 people that day in 2001. Islam by nature supports violence and hatred. Islam is decidedly not peaceful. Islam is misogynistic. Islam permits all sorts of lying and cheating to gain its ends. Stop me when I hit a nerve. And what about all this makes it a religion? What is the definition of religion and how does a violent institution such as Islam rate such a category? Didn't the Government create the WACO tragedy because of something like this?
All the articles I've read about Islam in the mainstream [Liberal] media only discuss the 'good' things, or the things that seem to parallel real religions. Haven't those authors actually read the Koran? Such authors always leave out the call to arms to spread the 'religion' by the sword [something nearly accomplished in 8th century Europe had it not been for Charles 'The Hammer' Martel stopping it], killing the infidel, misogynist, dangerous and unnecessary female circumcisions, 'honor' killings, beheadings, bombing and gassing of the Western 'infidels' and other delicacies that turn the stomach. This isn't the 7th Century, folks. We the people aren't the slaves and criminals that Mohammed gathered together way back then. The Koran is based on his rambling thoughts supposed to be 'recorded' by his loyal followers. Liberals don't want to hear anything negative about Islam. Christianity? Yes. Judaism? Yes. Conservatives? Absolutely---especially if it isn't true. And most of the negatives for the latter three religious or philosophical disciplines are created out of nothing by many in the media---and in Congress and the White House by others of the Liberal persuasion.
The government under Obama seem either afraid of, or supporting of Islam. And that's an extremely dangerous position for the Country.
I oppose the building of a mosque, cultural or terrorist recruiting center or whatever you want to call it near ground zero. I oppose building it in New York or any other State. We don't need more propaganda nor another place to recruit militant Muslims. It's not religious tolerance, it's public safety. Our Country, our freedoms, our peaceful existence must be preserved. Do we need another 9/11 before you Liberals wake up? Are you going to 'tolerate' us down the tubes to destruction?
*Meanwhile, back in Washington. "The Obama administration forecasted the 2011 deficit---which begins Oct. 1---will remain above $1 trillion for a third straight year, rising to $1.27 trillion. And Obama predicts the deficits over the next decade will total $8.5 trillion." And naturally, the Democrat's solution is to raise taxes and cut tax deductions. They don't study history, so it doesn't occur to them that drastic spending cuts are the order of the day. Left to itself, the free market system will correct and bring the economy back. Government bailouts and overspending only make matters worse. This is proved by history. How to get out of a recession? CUT TAXES! And isn't this spiraling deficit that our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren etc. have to pay over and above the artificially high tax rates a form of child abuse? Sounds like it to me, and Obama should be called on the carpet because of it. After all, he wanted to be in charge.
* David Patten wrote on August 6: "Signs are growing that the administration's inner circle of economic advisers — once hailed as the "dream team" — appears to be cracking under the pressure of yet another dismal jobs report and reports of dissension within the White House ranks over what to do about the stagnant economy." Surprise!
*You'd hope that by this time in life, these weenie Liberals would have studied history. All their crazy anti-people solutions to problems have been shown by history in this Country and others to not work. This is fact. Their solutions just make bad situations worse. As Casey used to say, 'You can look it up." Liberals continue to believe, despite proof against it, that any problem can be solved by throwing money at it. Economic problems? Bail outs. Raise taxes. Reduce the Federal incoming finances. Unemployment problems? Extend unemployment payments instead of forcing people to actually find work. Never promote the business climate for job creation. Increase welfare. And yet, the Liberals keep trying these failed ideas and then blame the Republicans and Conservatives when they won't work to save the economy made disastrous by their policies. Isn't this something of a definition of mental illness for such Liberals?

*According to the AP and My Way, the House recently approved the expenditure of $600 million to pay for more unmanned drones and 1,500 more agents for surveillance along the US/Mexican border. This would be good news, except that the administration isn't providing any money for actually preventing illegal immigration or returning the successful border jumpers to Mexico. It just wants to watch them come over, give them US rights and expensive welfare and medical, and try to get them to vote for the Democrats. This is not 'protecting' our borders, only watching the crimes continue so as to facilitate further crimes against America.
*According to the AP in June, UK doctors claim that a fetus can't feel pain before 24 weeks. They say 'that nerve connections in the brain are not sufficiently formed to allow pain perception before 24 weeks.' Is that so? I imagine they interviewed aborted babies to find this out? Their opinions are erring on the safe side of life? Are they sure of 24 weeks? What about 23 weeks and 6 days? What about 23 weeks, 6 days and 23 hours? All life feels pain, and don't forget it or make excuses for killing babies in the fetal form.
On a related note, I personally don't think the nerve or thinking connections in the brains of Liberals are sufficiently formed to assist the Liberal in speaking sense. But do we abort them? Of course not. They're almost as smart as babies, and it takes years for their mental aberrations to appear.
*And the apparently brain-dead U.S. Judge Vaughn R. Walker [appointed by Bill Clinton], "who ruled last week that a voter-approved amendment to California's constitution [Proposition 8] that limited marriage to the union of a man and a woman violated the U.S. Constitution" [CNS,Terence P. Jeffrey, August 9, 2010] now claims that his decision was "based that ruling in part on his finding that a child does not need and has no right to a mother...Nor, he found, does a child have a need or a right to a father." That's in the Constitution? He then goes on to quote from a special interest "American Psychological Association (APA)" brochure---but only from those parts in it that support his decision. This man is in a position of legal power! For the good of our Country, overturning his ruling, and his subsequent impeachment and conviction should be quick and painless.
*As noted by Martin Crutsinger of the AP, President Barack Obama appointed a national debt commission to report after the November midterm elections on ways that the federal deficits can be brought under control. Naturally, he won't ask for the report before. It would increase the carnage for the Democrats in midterm elections. Most likely, the report will identify---but downplay---one easy way to cut the deficit: CUT THE SPENDING! I can tell you that for free---I don't need no stinking commission! And also most likely, Obama and friends will ignore it completely or make cuts where they hurt average people most, leaving the fat and pork and paybacks to the Big Unions and other Liberal supporters alone---or actually increasing the latter. That will be accompanied with tax increases all over the place, especially on the rich [with a new definition of rich as earnings of $20,000 a year or more.]
*They're still debating about the so-called 'ground zero Mosque' and whether or not it should be built. The mindless bureaucrats in NYC apparently okayed it [and continue to support it] without appropriate public input. [It seems Liberals in the Clinton era tried to follow polls; Liberals these days do the opposite.] This is a National discussion, folks. Not just for New York City. I'm all for religious tolerance, but this has nothing to do with it. It was Muslims who killed 3,000 people that day in 2001. Islam by nature supports violence and hatred. Islam is decidedly not peaceful. Islam is misogynistic. Islam permits all sorts of lying and cheating to gain its ends. Stop me when I hit a nerve. And what about all this makes it a religion? What is the definition of religion and how does a violent institution such as Islam rate such a category? Didn't the Government create the WACO tragedy because of something like this?
All the articles I've read about Islam in the mainstream [Liberal] media only discuss the 'good' things, or the things that seem to parallel real religions. Haven't those authors actually read the Koran? Such authors always leave out the call to arms to spread the 'religion' by the sword [something nearly accomplished in 8th century Europe had it not been for Charles 'The Hammer' Martel stopping it], killing the infidel, misogynist, dangerous and unnecessary female circumcisions, 'honor' killings, beheadings, bombing and gassing of the Western 'infidels' and other delicacies that turn the stomach. This isn't the 7th Century, folks. We the people aren't the slaves and criminals that Mohammed gathered together way back then. The Koran is based on his rambling thoughts supposed to be 'recorded' by his loyal followers. Liberals don't want to hear anything negative about Islam. Christianity? Yes. Judaism? Yes. Conservatives? Absolutely---especially if it isn't true. And most of the negatives for the latter three religious or philosophical disciplines are created out of nothing by many in the media---and in Congress and the White House by others of the Liberal persuasion.
The government under Obama seem either afraid of, or supporting of Islam. And that's an extremely dangerous position for the Country.
I oppose the building of a mosque, cultural or terrorist recruiting center or whatever you want to call it near ground zero. I oppose building it in New York or any other State. We don't need more propaganda nor another place to recruit militant Muslims. It's not religious tolerance, it's public safety. Our Country, our freedoms, our peaceful existence must be preserved. Do we need another 9/11 before you Liberals wake up? Are you going to 'tolerate' us down the tubes to destruction?

They don't study history, so it doesn't occur to them that drastic spending cuts are the order of the day. Left to itself, the free market system will correct and bring the economy back. Government bailouts and overspending only make matters worse. This is proved by history. How to get out of a recession? CUT TAXES! And isn't this spiraling deficit that our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren etc. have to pay over and above the artificially high tax rates a form of child abuse? Sounds like it to me, and Obama should be called on the carpet because of it. After all, he wanted to be in charge.

Application for Candidates for the Offices of Representative, Senator and President of the USA
This test must be completed by the candidate [not a staff member] at one time, at a controlled location, without staff around, and with independent proctors. Answer the questions without evasion. Time limit is two hours. The candidate must go through an airport-type full body scan before answering the essay questions. Appropriate official documents must be included with each test. The test will be signed at the end to indicate the candidate's true beliefs are presented within, and he/she will not be permitted crib notes, televisors, or other assistance in answering. All cell phones will be confiscated for the duration of the exam. The answers and documents will be reviewed by an independent group. All answers and copies of documents will be released to the public.
1. Where were you born? Under what circumstances? Who were your grandparents? Answer in detail. Did you go to college? Where and for how long? Did you graduate? [submit a transcript and copy of your diploma; submit an official Birth Certificate, and not a certificate of birth that doesn't mean anything.]
2. What is your view on abortion? Do you believe in infant life or death? Do you blame an innocent child for the circumstances surrounding its conception? Expand your answer and give details. How would you respond to the following?: Abortion is not the murder of a human being. Abortion is the murder of a human being. Euthanasia and assisted suicide are viable actions for a modern society.
3. What is your view on the size and scope of the Federal Government? Give details. Do you believe in unlimited taxes on Americans to finance Congressional mandates? The Deficit That Ate Middle America
*I was watching a health special on Disease Detectives via the Discovery Channel Health the other day. 'Undiagnosed diseases'---actually Hard-to-Diagnose Diseases.' And I was struck by the matter-of-fact statement that the NIH didn't choose to examine or try to diagnose and help a patient if IT DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL. In other words, let's not look into illness that subjects our understanding of health matters to too much strain. We go home at five, you know. Is that what we can expect from Government Health-Care? 'Sorry Joe. We don't know what you have and don't think we can find out. So, you'll die in a hospice---but we'll make you comfortable in your bed---with comics and movies, you know.'
And the NIH serves up to three patients a week. Wow!! The glory of it all! All those $billions for this?
It's all these things about health-care that might slip through the understanding of the public conscience these days as we give hoopla to the vastly expensive health-care system proposed by the 'do as little as you can but make the taxpayers [now and in the future] pay for it' mind-think of Obama and pals. Remember, most of the program won't start until 2014---though the taxes and fines start now [which will be spent on other things---and that'll be two years out from the ousting of Obama. So, the Democrats are set to blame all the upcoming ills on the new administration. No wonder they voted yes. They're planning for the future!
*So says Nancy Pelosi as reported by Real Clear Politics: "It injects demand into
the economy," Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said of unemployment checks. "It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."
Employed Men Wait on line to receive their 'paychecks', called 'Pelosis'
Pelosi calls unemployment checks a "stimulus" that is a "double benefit" helping "those who lost their jobs" and at the same serves as a "job creator" "It's impossible to think of a situation where we would have a country that would say 'we're not going to have unemployment benefits,'" Pelosi said."
*I notice that whenever a non-Liberal paper, position, or action is taken anywhere in sight, the ubiquitous 'critics' are always semi-quoted to attack such a paper, position, or action: such as, 'critics say.'
I believe we should know who the 'critics' are. In many cases, they are radical individuals who have an ax to grind somewhere. The media journalists simply hide all the crazies with a couple of bona-fide people in the catch-all phrase 'critics.'
When the shoe is on the other foot, any critics of a Liberal paper, position, or action are named and identified in detail. Is this a double-standard? Well, you'll never get a journalist to admit it---or any Liberal bias in his/her writing.
*I keep hearing and seeing TV ads for the Democrat's running to be elected Governor of Connecticut. They never mention the Obama administration or the Democrats in general. They claim to be free from 'special interests'---though that term has never has been adequately defined. For Democrats, 'special interests' include anything or anybody not a Liberal. These runners for the Governorship already are beholding to the Democrat/Liberal/Socialist parties, black activist groups, and labor unions---and that means they are bad for any state where they might wield power.
*We need a short essay exam for all wannabes for National political office. To be filled out by the candidate, not his/her staff. [I'm working on a sample now. It'll show up in my blog soon.]
*Between the Obama administration and Liberal judges, our Country may not have long to live. The World's only super power? Not if Obama can help it. His recent releasing of a Yemeni terrorist---with a Liberal judge approval---is just another sign that he doesn't care about America as long as someone somewhere likes him for his action. And, of course, he cannot stand by while a or Muslim is imprisoned for a verified terror act.
*The White House announced a $1.47trillion deficit for this year.
An appropriate tombstone---but with the wrong date. Obama needed another day or two to complete his work.
The White House and the Democrat Congress seem no longer interested in reducing this deficit as in increases our National Debt past $13 trillion. Cost to attend Obama's birthday bash? $30,000 donation to the Democrats. According to Joe Biden: "Biden said now that Wall Street reform is finished and signed into law, the administration could go out and make its political case for its accomplishment." What accomplishment? Near US bankruptcy? $1.4Trillion deficit? $13Trillion National Debt? The ruination of the World's best health-care and society in America? Please Joe explain your accomplishments so the average citizen can understand you. And don't lie about them like you usually do.
*From Joe Biden again: "The vice president said Republicans "are wildly out of step" with popular opinion on a broad range of issues from holding oil companies responsible for cleaning up the spill in the Gulf, to supporting basic regulations that would prevent another meltdown on Wall Street, to extending unemployment insurance to those who lose their jobs." Doesn't a Joe Biden come with ears? So, common sense and a desire to save the economy and the US is "out of touch?" Joe is the epitome of the proverbial snake-oil salesman. When will he stop singing 'What Kind of Fool am I?' at the Congressional All Star Revue?
*The Democrat Congress took the time this year to officially honor golfer Phil Mickelson, the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson, the Penn State women's volleyball team, and the 142nd season of the Saratoga race course in New York. By the way, the Congress also spent us into a $1.4Trillion deficit while destroying the economy. And, according to Joe Biden, ' all the Congressional work needed has been finished.' For the next 90 days, the Democrats will be in campaign mode.
*Another revelation about the lies from the Democrats/Liberals/Socialists in the administration and Congress: from 'Times Watch' on Media Research Center' website: "FOX News didn't run a report on the controversy until AFTER Sherrod had resigned under White House pressure and AFTER the NAACP had issued a press release condemning Sherrod. Yet in “For Fired Agriculture Official, Flurry of Apologies and Job Offer,” reported by Sheryl Gay Stolberg, Shaila Dewan, and Brian Stelter, and written by Stolberg, THE TIMES CHOSE TO BLAME a cabal of “right-wing Web sites” and FOX News for fostering the Sherrod scandal which led to her dismissal. As if Fox forced Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to do its right-wing bidding without ever actually running a single story on Sherrod until AFTER her firing, when the point became moot."

I've tried to follow the other news networks---even the regular networks---and found them to be so biased to the left, that I couldn't get a fair report out of them. And the TV networks with shows other than news are also spouting leftist principles. Case in point is NBC's 'Law and Order.' It's drifted so far left now, I can't watch it.

Doesn't a Joe Biden come with ears? So, common sense and a desire to save the economy and the US is "out of touch?" Joe is the epitome of the proverbial snake-oil salesman. When will he stop singing 'What Kind of Fool am I?' at the Congressional All Star Revue?
*The Democrat Congress took the time this year to officially honor golfer Phil Mickelson, the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson, the Penn State women's volleyball team, and the 142nd season of the Saratoga race course in New York. By the way, the Congress also spent us into a $1.4Trillion deficit while destroying the economy. And, according to Joe Biden, ' all the Congressional work needed has been finished.' For the next 90 days, the Democrats will be in campaign mode.
*Another revelation about the lies from the Democrats/Liberals/Socialists in the administration and Congress: from 'Times Watch' on Media Research Center' website: "FOX News didn't run a report on the controversy until AFTER Sherrod had resigned under White House pressure and AFTER the NAACP had issued a press release condemning Sherrod. Yet in “For Fired Agriculture Official, Flurry of Apologies and Job Offer,” reported by Sheryl Gay Stolberg, Shaila Dewan, and Brian Stelter, and written by Stolberg, THE TIMES CHOSE TO BLAME a cabal of “right-wing Web sites” and FOX News for fostering the Sherrod scandal which led to her dismissal. As if Fox forced Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to do its right-wing bidding without ever actually running a single story on Sherrod until AFTER her firing, when the point became moot."
Don't you Democrat/Liberal/Socialist/and sometimes Communist adherents ever get tired of lying? Fox News is a fair and balanced Network and reports news. Only its columnists and show hosts provide opinion---and not always Conservative. I've tried to follow the other news networks---even the regular networks---and found them to be so biased to the left, that I couldn't get a fair report out of them. And the TV networks with shows other than news are also spouting leftist principles. Case in point is NBC's 'Law and Order.' It's drifted so far left now, I can't watch it.

From Right to Left and Back Again
*Now it seems Nancy Pelosi is on the receiving end of protests from both right and left. The right wants her to stop pushing socialism, stop spending money, and re-organize the government on a more responsible fiscal scale. The left [notably, Code Pink] wants more money. No one seems to realize where the money comes from. It's yours and mine! "And we aren't going to take it anymore!" No more spending! At what point do the Democrats/Liberals expect to stop? A deficit of $3 trillion a year? A debt of $25 trillion? Why do these clowns think that throwing money at a problem and more taxation is the way to correct the ills they themselves created? When the Federal Government declares bankruptcy, are we all going to have to appear in court with our $500,000 per family to pay the debt off? When is enough enough to these people?
*Nancy and her Democrat cronies in Congress are shocked! Just shocked! that the people of the Country are against their efforts to destroy our America. I think being a Democrat, Liberal or a Socialist should be grounds for insanity pleas, and we should lock them all up and try to salvage the Country they've laid waste to before there isn't anything left.
As Grandpa Joad once said: "It's our dirt. It ain't no good, but it's ours." Is that to be all that's left of a once strong, vibrant Country once having the singular force for Democracy, Freedom and Protection? Will Obama and friends leave us nothing more than dirt? But as many pundits have predicted, the Democrat/Liberals will lie on the campaign trail to take them to a center position to garner votes. Is that the kind of guy you want as Senator?] And as soon as they win, they move back to radical left and socialism. When is the electorate going to learn? There is no free lunch. All that pork these guys are sending you is coming out of your own pockets and those of your neighbors and all our descendants across the country and yet to be born! And thanks to the Liberals, murder of our unborn children will lead to fewer descendants to pay the bills.
*In answer to those pundits who think we blame Obama 'for not being God', I'd say he might receive some more support if he were just a good 'community organizer.' But I think any job with responsibility is too big for him. Once again, congratulations to the Liberals, Democrats and Obama apologists [with some overlapping] of the Country that are condoning National destruction.

*CNBC "Teens Face Worst Summer Job Market in 41 Years" The article goes on to say that such jobs are being taken by 'older people' [ages 20-24] to supplement their income. Of course the elderly get their pans too for taking these summer jobs to help pay for the Obama tax revolution. What CNBC fails to recognize, of course is the unconscionably high minimum wage. The idea for a minimum wage was to provide some wage floor for INTRODUCTORY jobs, part-time jobs and the such---and NOT for full time workers supporting a family! With the minimum so high, the employers would rather pay for one usually reliable elderly person rather than a couple of spoiled and pampered teens. Blame the Liberal 'spread the wealth' pioneers in America. They're still around.
*Jimmy Carter is out trying to drum up national comment with his speeches about our 'addiction' to oil. There aren't enough windmills even in the imagination to make up for its loss. We need to build more nuclear plants and to drill for oil and gas on land. Up in Alaska, there's plenty of oil to drill for. Only a few people go up there anyway, so why the concern about such a small plot? [Isn't that safer than the Gulf of Mexico?] And we certainly aren't going to give up crops and sugar to generate ethanol. That won't solve the problem. Anyway, what does he want? Windmills on every car?
*BP ran into problems because it was forced to drill in 5,000 feet of water! That's almost a mile. Drilling on land can be better controlled. So if Jimmy wants to save part of his name recognition, he should be pushing for all of the above [including solar panels and coal] to help us. A growing economy needs power---as does the manifestation of our freedom to move around and insure domestic tranquility---so never mind talking about addictions, just release the restrictions on drilling and building nuclear power plants. As long as we don't have the Russians build the latter, we'll be okay.
*Let's see now. The BP well is still a problem. More oil is gushing [something that wouldn't happen if the environmentalists and Obama had let BP drill closer to land in shallower water.] And what has Obama done? Pretty much nothing but talk. He said no to Dutch and English offers of help and who knows how many other countries. He refuses help from Americans. [Hay on the oil has been proven to work, and a bunch of needed equipment lies unused in Main.] He refuses to let the Louisiana Governor do anything to stem the disaster via Coast Guard blockage. Instead of leaving at least BP to cap the gusher, he points fingers and allows his cronies in Congress to yell and point fingers and otherwise gum up the works. He uses the disaster as an excuse to push more socialist laws through the Congress. Yes. That's our Cart---er Obama.
*We seem to be stuck in Afghanistan for a number of reasons. Among other things, the people don't like us, and they often hide the insurgents. Al-Quaeda and the Taliban build and promote various projects for the people to gain their alliance---though the truth is that once in power, they'll destroy those and the people. And the rules of engagement forced on our soldiers gives them little more war authority than the corner crossing guide. [Excuse me, Mr Terrorist, may I shoot at you?]
*Nancy Pelosi is now saying that unemployment benefits create jobs. And she says that in her motherly-teaching mode, as if anything to the contrary is un-American. Sorry Nancy. Your thinking is what is un-American. You cannot in good conscience equate unemployment checks with job creation. One has no effect on the other. If she would stop Congressional spending, put proper safeguards on immigration and health-care, and leave American small businesses alone, she might actually be helping to create jobs.
So what happens? The Democrats and Nancy Pelosi reject Republican compromises when they want the bill to be paid for by spending reductions. "My concern is that the Democrats are more interested in having this issue to demagogue for political gamesmanship than they are in simply passing the benefits extension," said Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, who offered a deal that was rejected by Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. So, naturally without further ado, the Democrats chastised the Republicans for 'opposing' the benefits with Nancy calling them "just cruel" and "contrary to what our country is about.' Then the agonizing Democrats went on vacation with no further action.
*It's so incomprehensible that so many danger spots against the American state exist and continue while Obama and company eat hamburgers for photo ops, play basketball, or go to the golf course. This country needs protection and defense from the invasion from the south, invasion from the east, and dumbing-down of government via the ridiculous American Liberal outlook on the future.
*It's time for Washington to demand changes in the Mexican border activity and upgrade in human rights. Arizona isn't the problem. Inaction in Washington is. It's like a Cancer. If you don't stop it now, it's simply going to grow larger and kill more and more of the American State.
*In reality, it's going to be a long time before this country trusts and elects another black man as President. And even longer before black men and women are appointed to positions of trust such as Attorney General. It's not because they are black, but the Liberal blacks are the deal breakers. Good black men and women abound in this Country, but the Liberals have ruined politics for them. And why? To gain temporary power? To move the Country's government so far left we can't revive it? These current Liberals are a disgrace for the Country that bred them.

While I'm Working on Something Larger...
Just some recent observances and thoughts.
*Obama is more interested in the perks of being President than he is in working as President; his only real efforts have been those that increase socialism in the culture and government; under his leadership [?] the defense of our Country is declining, notably at our borders and with our visas allowing all sorts of terrorists entry into our Country; our prestige around the World is seriously declining; he's told one and all that the US doesn't have to be the symbol of greatness in the World; increased the size of government in most areas; bankrupt our Country and increase giveaways, thus ballooning our deficit and National debt
Can you understand this? Obama took an oath to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States. Since then he has: spent us almost to the brink of bankruptcy; appointed socialists and far left radicals to prominent positions in the administration; has appointed non-accountable Czars in important positions of government; has refused to follow Constitutional provisions
*Anyone convicted of terrorist activity should receive the death penalty; too many crimes are committed with the vile perpetrator given short sentences or released 'humanely.' Most of them are suicide bombers anyway. And most are not citizens and should not be tried in the same way citizens are.
*This pc-ism has really gone too far: students suspended for wearing the American Flag; students suspended for removing the Mexican Flag from a school where it should never have been allowed to hang in the first place; students suspended for demonstrating and burning the Mexican Flag; nobody interfered with the Mexicans [legal and illegal] from gathering together and protesting settled law; schools permitted Cinqo de Mayo celebrations on their property; crosses and the Pledge of Allegiance removed from many schools; regular protest marches against an Arizona law to protect the state and do what Federal Law mandates but the Obama administration refuses to enforce, and too many other instances to mention here.
*Obama, through his administration, once again has proven that it is unwilling, unprepared, and incapable of acting to protect our lands. First, Obama refuses to enforce our laws concerning illegal immigration, and now he cannot do anything about the massive oil spill near Louisiana. Besides enjoying the perks of the office, bowing and kowtowing to foreign leaders, and apologizing about the United States to any foreigner who will listen, Obama has been a free-spending know nothing. If it isn't written on the teleprompter it isn't true---even thought the teleprompter often lies. This man and his administration and ideology must go for it is rotting on the vine and may damage the vine itself.
*With socialism and welfare costs spiraling, the EU is about to bite the bullet and probably disband. When the dust clears we'll see more national sovereignty and the return of the Lire, Franc, Mark etc. And, of course, Obama wants us to be more like Europe so they'll like us. The socialism and welfare here may very well bring down the entire government. And the blame will be on Democrats, Liberals, RINOs, middle-of-the-road Pols, and mostly Obama. Congratulations America on your diversity in electing a totally incompetent person to be President. He spends too much time on perks and too little time governing---although that may be a good idea. He'll do less harm. And when it comes to making a decision or policy in favor of the American people? No way, he's off playing basketball or going to the movies.
*So Obama is scheduling yet another vacation during the oil spill crisis. He's going to Chicago and leaving Joe Biden to attend to the National Memorial Day ceremony. What's he vacationing from anyway? He's not doing anything productive to help America. Meanwhile, Gov Bobby Jindal is at his wits end trying to handle the oil spill threatening his state. The Feds are sitting on their hands waiting for BP or Mother Nature to cure all. Jindal is even threatening to go ahead without Federal approval, even if it means jail. So, Obama vacations, the National ceremony gets foisted off to an underling-a-ling, and Louisiana continues to suffer from the spill. Way to go Obama!
*Since I couldn't post this: To 'go-fox-yourself' who posted a thoughtless comment for the article 'Stressed Out or Tone Deaf? Obama Chicago Vacation Raises Eyebrows'. All of the Republican Presidents [Reagan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr] you mention were pro-military and actually worked to insure the strength of our Constitution, military, Country and the respect of the Presidency---and none denigrated their jobs as much as Obama has [or Clinton.] Obama's MIA re the Arlington Cemetery ceremony is not unexpected, nor is it decried. He has no business celebrating such an event anyway---given his ideology and record. And of course, we wouldn't want to interfere with his vacation[s] for National ceremonies or disasters. His lackeys can ignore their responsibilities just as well as he can. It should be clear by now that Obama is NOT interested in the continuation of the American culture or strong defense or International strength and prestige. His biggest interest during his term is for the perks: vacations, movie dates, golf, roasts, playing basketball, talk show visits, beer visits with policeman who did nothing wrong, and the like.

Here We Go Again!
No, I didn't dry up and blow away. I've been through some of the travails of life. For several weeks I had the flu. For several more weeks I tried to nurse my computer back to health. But I failed. And so did my hard drive. I lost a lot of data I forgot [or couldn't find] to back up as well. Thus I spent time in search and recovery---and recovered nada. Dell sent me a new hard drive, but didn't install it as I had been led to believe. By the time [which by the way, was progressing day by day] we got it installed, I was far behind in my reconstruction of what data I could figure out. Some of the lost data included much from my mail program and the data base I was using for my blogs. Thus, the delay in writing more blogs. I've researched and have made sure all of my important data is now being backed up [called shutting the barn door after the horse in gone] where I can find it. But since I lost all my blogging notes, I'm pretty much starting from scratch. Politically, everything's going the way I expected, so I should still have plenty to write about. For my personal blogs, life still has its quirks to write about. I'll be back soon with more important thoughts.

Only When I'm Through With It
With apologies to Groucho, Harry Ruby, Bert Kalmar, and Grover Jones, I can tell you now what the President was singing at his private dinner last month with his present and prospective advisors [during the duck soup course, of course.]
If any form of pleasure is exhibited
Report to me and it will be prohibited.
I'll put my foot down; So shall it be -
This is the land of the free.
The last man nearly ruined this place
He didn't know what to do with it.
If you think this country's bad off now
Just wait 'till I get through with it.
[President dances with his wife to the sailor's hornpipe]
The treasury is low on dough;
The last man went and flew with it.
If you think we're short of money now
Just wait 'till I get through with it.
[President dances a Highland fling with Mrs Teasdale]
The country's taxes must be fixed -
And I know what to do with it,
If you think you're paying too much now,
Just wait 'till I get through with it.
[The President takes a ney [arabic flute] from his inside pocket and plays an Arab waltz]
It is now a month later. Does anyone really doubt the veracity of this report?
