Pathways of Insanity

Dennis Prager wonders why so many atheist books are best sellers. Well, nobody claims to really understands why pornography sells so well either. Opinions are a dime a dozen, and they range from free sex, free speech, to anti-religious feeling. And these seem to have arisen or expanded with the Great Society. One has to ask why there is such a current hate for Christians and Jews and their religions? Critics of Dennis certainly have immediate disdain for him, his opinions, and religion in general---almost fanatically.

One consideration is that Christianity and Judaism require common sense, reverence, respect, toleration, and charitableness among other qualities of good people. These are not jokes. They are expectations of adherents of traditional religion. And it's too bad so many people can't follow these normal characteristics of real men and women, religion or not.

As Dennis has noted, the current batch of 'adults' has been brainwashed by the Liberals for years towards hedonism and distaste for anything that puts a bar in front of complete freedom to do as you will. Without restrictions, such behavior is far from free. It's inherently dangerous to other people who have to deal with the results of such 'freedom.' Tell me how restrained and moral the periodic gay parades and celebrations are in San Francisco these days.

But these people will read and buy anything that agrees with their way of life or provides them an excuse not to behave in a reasonable manner. Are you surprised? The First Amendment to the Constitution states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" Somehow, the hedonists and atheists have convinced many people that this means a complete separation of 'Church and State.' Not hardly.

The American founders were concerned about a State religion in the manner of Britain, not with the denying religion in secular life. It's as simple as that. Our founders were deists, and they certainly wanted religion in daily life---just not a required State religion.

So the modern judiciary and the Liberals have been convinced by ??? that no mention or display of religion on public property is proper. Manifestations of religion or religious feeling can't be part of society. Christianity, Judaism, and other traditional religions are considered juvenile and these Leftists are totally wrong---but try and convince them of that.

So why the tolerance for Islam? Why the footbaths? Why the prayer rooms? Why the burqas et al? This is America and not the Middle East. We don't routinely wear masks around here unless it's Halloween or we're hiding for some nefarious reason. In Islam, Women are put down, executed or maimed if they don't adhere to what the men prescribe. Jihads are routinely called to kill Americans, Jews, and anyone who disagrees with the current interpretation of the Koran. So why the Liberal tolerance for Islam?

Contradictorily to the usual leftist rant and expectations, Islamic men are executed in the Middle East when caught in the pornography game. But then, they're also executed for homosexuality too. No wonder Ahmadinejad can claim there are no homosexuals in Iran. So, why the Liberal tolerance for Islam? Do the Liberals wish to accomplish such things here? Better ask them---but then, they'll probably evade the question and answer and blame Bush.
