Immigration or Entry?

Just a short opinion.  I'm all for immigration control. My grandparents were immigrants, and they arrived legally and went through their processing. They came for freedom and got it.

But illegal immigration is a whole other thing. As far as I'm concerned, these people should be rounded up and deported. Until we do that, we're not going to be safe within our borders. The United States is a haven for oppressed people, but let them make the effort to come here in accordance with our laws.

While my personal jury is still out regarding the Y Visas, I'm against the Z Visas. Wouldn't they be pretty much the same thing as a rich person buying his way out of a criminal case? Charging them fees is not going to be a solution.

Despite the problems involved, I think the day has come for a wall between us and Mexico to control the illegal entry problem. Nothing short of that solution will be effective.

Mexico isn't going to do anything to solve the illegal entries to the United States. Why not? Getting rid of the oppressed population to the US is good social policy for the Mexican government. It likes the idea that its ex-citizens will receive migrant jobs and welfare from good old Uncle Sam instead of the Mexican system.

Proficiency in English should also be a requirement of citizenship. The same with the proposed Y Visa. I'm tired of dual-language signs and allowances. Our country's population should be speaking the same language in all it's endeavors. English is English, and it isn't Spanish.

Immigration is good. Illegal entry is bad. See how simple that is.
